Track 1: New Day
West is a twenty two year old Scottish emcee, lyricist, producer and rapper from Dundee. He has live dates scheduled throughout the remainder of 2006 so look out for the banners, also his debut EP will be released in 2007, entitled "The BreakThrough EP".
He has been performing live for a few years now and notched up some impressive gigs by any standards, as he has performed in various cities throughout Scotland. The highlights of which being, performing in front of 3000 people at the Carling Academy in Glasgow, lighting the stage up for 800 people for the Tsunami Appeal at the Bonar Hall in Dundee as well as sharing the bill with Giant Panda and People Under The Stairs. He has also supported artists such as Skinnyman (Mud Family), Scratch (The Roots) and Killa Kela (Spit Kingdom) at the Reading Rooms in Dundee.
Irvo and West ran the Independent Scottish record label Dundee Destruktion Rekordz until mid 2006 when due to other commitments West had had to step down from the post. Dundee Destruktion Rekordz major achievements were hosting the first ever Scottish Hip Hop all day gig at the Reading Rooms in Dundee on the 31st of July 2005 as well as raising the profile of Scottish Hip Hop in Dundee and beyond.
At present, West is currently adding the final additions to "The BreakThrough EP" as well as starting countless new projects with various producers and rappers from Scotland and further a field.
