Raised in Aberdeen, UK, the product of broken home and highly influenced by his surroundings, Rain had been writing lyrics on or off for a few years before being encouraged to pick up a mic and record some audio, and around a year on (February 2007) Rain has improved on every aspect of rap, Rain touches on topics which concern him and discusses in depth the struggles that he has been through, also uses his lyrics as a way to explore his story telling ability, Rain experiments with different flows and concepts all with a soul based, easy listening vibe, Rain's biggest influences in hip hop would consist of groups like A Tribe Called Quest, Slum Village, artists like Common, Talib Kweli, Nas, and 2Pac, also highly influenced by producers such as J Dilla, Pete Rock, and 9th Wonder.

He is currently working on a release which will drop in Summer, it will be called "Here Comes The Rain" and features some of the best underground rappers and producers from the U.S. and the UK. He feels there is a hole in UK Hip Hop and feels he is the one to fill it.
