I hail form Carluke (south lanarkshire) and I started in my youth (10yrs old) listening to the likes of Ice T, N.W.A and Ice Cube's catalogues of albums.

Influenced by the likes of the wutang, tupac and the earlier old skool hip-hop(krs 1etc). I started writing poetry at an early age, always rapping and writing down my feelings. Like a diary of my thoughts growing up through a troublesome teenage life, with the experiences of drugs and alcohol to say the least.

Experiencing life through my eyes I found myself mixed up in a lot of madness and crazy situations. In the midst of all the craziness I often internalized feelings and when I found time on my own, I found it easy to feel through the use of a pen on paper. With no money I never had an opportunity to record my tracks and get my message across, until my friend Louis of afewdayslate, borrowed some basic equipment.

The two of us found ourselves unemployed, good mates and both with a passion for music. This is when The Social was formed. Whilst recording along side Louis, I picked up enough knowledge to peruse my solo project Misplacedmind. I approach my tunes different from The Social; I have a raw style and like to approach my music form different angles and perspectives every time.

I enjoy being experimental with my shit, introducing different instruments and different methods to my flow. I have been collabing with producers form The US., the Netherlands and Sweden and also producing my own beats.
