dBass is Glasgow's ten piece live band who effortlessly combine elements of hip-hop, jazz, drumnbass and electronica. Creating music that is at once both thought provoking and funky, dBass are just as adept at bringing people onto the dancefloor in clubs as they are at making jazz audiences hang on their every note. Picture a cutting-edge collaboration between John Coltrane and DJ Shadow complete with live vocals and rapping.

dBass has grown and continues to evolve out of a collective of like-minded Glasgow musicians. Until recently, the voice and soul of the band came from stunning singer and inspiration, Cathy Kungu, loved by audiences across the city. Cathy passed away from leukaemia in June 2005 and is sorely missed.
